Kids Red shorts grading complete!

Congratulations to our young martial artists who have graduated to our second level for Kids Muay Thai!

As part of the test, each kid had to research at least one fact about Thailand...our favorite?? Jaydan's: it's illegal to leave the house without underwear :)

York Muay Thai offers a step by step program for kids between 6-13 yrs old to learn Muay Thai. Each level is signified by different coloured shorts, as well as different techniques or Thai language/cultural aspects.  The program is designed to help kids develop coordination, fitness and teamwork skills through Muay Thai. Students who wish to compete in sport Muay Thai events can do so at any short level, under recommendation of the instructing staff. An expanded training regimen is offered for these students.

YMT at MuayThai at Maxwell's

Congrats to our fighters at TKO's Muay Thai at Maxwell's event! They did fantastic, as we came away with 3 wins and 1 loss. All of our fighters displayed incredible composure and stayed true to Muay Thai technique, while up against very skilled opponents from across the province. Thanks to Kru Chris for having us once again, and to all of the YMTeam who made it out to support!

Student of the Month (September '17): Dan Olea

Destiny 5 results

Big fights at Destiny 5 last night! Shout outs to PC Jack for his return to the ring in what was a hard 3 round war. Although he didn't get the win this time, it was a great experience. You gotta keep fighting strong opponents to improve!  An extra shout out goes to our old Kru Kosta (now at Milton Muay Thai), who also returned to the ring in the main event.
