Giorgio Petrosyan vs Khem Sitsongpeenong (video)

A big fight under It's Showtime Rules (similar to K-1)...no elbows, limited clinch and clinch knees.

It's Showtime is a Dutch promotion. They hold some pretty amazing fights with some of Europe's best, and have started to bring in more big name Thai's such as Sudsakorn and Khem

Kem, as you know, is a top dog around the world in Muay Thai. As far as MT goes, he's the next big export from Thailand. This is his very first time fighting under K-1 style rules.

Giorgio needs little introduction. He is the recent K-1 MAX world Champion (2009), defeating Andy Souwer for the title. He's also defeated the likes of Naruepol (K1 rules) and drawn with Buakaw (Muay Thai rules).

Both these guys are pretty much at the highest points of their respective worlds in stand up fighting. They are both also known for being very strong and technical.

I'd love to see Giorgio fight full MT again, especially against Kem. I don't doubt his abilities at all, but it would be great to see him fighting against these top guys under their original rules.

Looking at these guys, neither of them could afford to slip up. They both strike so fast, so precise and so hard

This fight highlighted two things in my books: Giorgio has a lot more power in the left kick than I thought (just listen and watch...compare the kicks), and Kem has a really strong chin.
